Josephine Salisbury Obituary
1954 - 2015
NORRIDGEWOCK - Josephine A. Salisbury, 61, passed away on Monday, Aug. 10, 2015, at Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home in Waterville. She was born on July 5, 1954, in Waterville, to Wayman and Barbara (Brown) O'Neal. Jo graduated from Winslow High School with the class of 1972.
She had worked in the office of Central Maine Power Co., was Mary Kay Cosmetic consultant, a foster parent and homemaker. Jo loved family gatherings, quilting, and trips to the ocean. She was an active and faithful member of the 7th Day Advent Church of Norridgewock and enjoyed being active in her community.
Jo was predeceased by her mother; and a brother Bernie. She is survived by her husband, Randy Salisbury of Norridgewock; her daughters, Jennifer Chase and her husband Ron of Norridgewock, and Nicole Salisbury of Norridgewock, stepson, James Salisbury and his wife Angela of New York; her grandchildren, Eric Chenard and Nicole Harris; her father Wayman O'Neal and stepmother Lena of Benton, her mother's twin brother uncle
Pastor Bernard Brown of Ft. Fairfield; her siblings, Barbara Aubut of Lincoln, Paul O'Neal and wife Sherry of Orrington, Jerry O'Neal of Benton, Shirley Caron of Florida, Warren O'Neal and wife Marie of Skowhegan, Pat O'Neal and companion Chastity of Clinton, Betsy Lindell of Waterville, Linda Hebert of Fairfield, Mark O'Neal of Fairfield, Jamie O'Neal and companion Debbie of Clinton, Robbie Young of Waterville, and Tammy Shores and husband Herbie of Clinton; many nieces, nephews; and friends.
Special thanks to the staff of Maine General Medical Center of Augusta, Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care, Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center of NH, and Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home for their compassionate and heartfelt care.
Visiting hours will be held from 6-8 p.m., Monday, Aug. 17, at Giberson Funeral Home, 40 Maple St. in Madison. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 18, at the 7th Day Adventist Church, 30 Upper Main St. in Norridgewock. Interment will be in Sunset View Cemetery in Norridgewock.
