Dear Rose, Skip, Kevin, Keith and family,
Kenny had many wonderful talents, his wit, wisdom, his joy for life. When he wrote his words were magical. We am grateful that he shared these gifts with us. We can't tell you how sadden we are to learn of his passing. When our daughter turned 18 we went to Key West for a vacation and Kenny and Guy took her out and she came back with her new tatoo. She loves it to this day. Death isn't the closing of a door it is the opening of another where we all pass thur eventually. Kenny will be there to greet the family and friends he so enjoyed. May your sorrow be tempered with the joy of knowing how much he is loved by so many. Our deepest condolences.

Dear Rose, Skip, Kevin, Keith and family,
I was so saddened to hear about this tragic loss and to see Kenny's photo. As I told my husband, you had to know him. He always seemed to have a smile. No matter what?

Mr. and Mrs. LaVoie, I was shocked to read of the death of Kenny. I remember babysitting for him and his brothers many years ago! I am the former Nancy Colburn and I keep up with R. I. news via the Journal website. According to Kenny's obituary, it appears he had a meaningful and gratifing life. What a wonderful legacy. My prayers and thoughts are with you all.

May the concerns and sympathy of those who care help you through this difficult time.
I was in Key West on 1-19-06 and was thinking about Kenny. I remember him and Guy giving me rides from hockey practice.
He will be missed.

Dear Dad
Thanks for:
The magic of Key West and what the city really stood for and came from.
My taste for writing, and reading Ernest Hemingway
My sense of humor. Unfortunately I live in Maine and nobody understands what the heck I’m talking about half the time, but my wife thinks I’m funny so thanks anyway!
Introducing me to Kevin Fallon, who, when I was a teenager told you that I had a natural gift and not to let me stop. That one moment is responsible for the fact that I still play today.
For teaching me that it’s ok to be silly just for the sake of being silly. It doesn’t have to mean a thing.
For making me a “LaVoie” and letting me be part of all the great, funny, unique, tragic and beautiful stuff that goes with it.
For giving us the Giant OOH OOH Bird, the double hog backed growler and the hideous night gaunt
For being so proud of me and saying it and showing it to the world. YOu are, indeed, remembered as a "world class" Dad and Granddad.
