Amy & Gabrielle, I am so sorry! Mark was a true friend at ACOG and was a big part of the reason I continued my work in the District. One of my fondest memories is our fishing trip at Tim Pond in Eustis. I will miss him.

On August 7, 1985, I was in the last stage of labor in the Augusta hospital. My baby was in severe distress with his heart stopping with my every contraction. I heard my doctor say, "Oh look, Dr. Cooper is in the building! Dr. Cooper, can you come look at my patient?" He took one look at the monitor and me and screamed for the elevator doors to be opened.... I was later told that my son was the first baby he delivered in the Augusta hospital... 22 months later he delivered my other son. I have always had the highest regard for Mark and am very saddened to see this news in the paper today. I just know he will be hovering over the obstetrics floor to make sure all those babies are delivered safely.... My sincere condolences to all his family and extended family of past co-workers. I'm sure he was deeply respected and admired by his family and those in his field; his loss will be deeply felt. God's Blessings to you all...
