Patrick McElroy Obituary
1937-2015
MANCHESTER- Patrick "Pat" McElroy, 77, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015.
He was born in Claremont, NH on June 4, 1937 and brought up by the late Ray and Mona Tims.
Pat was educated in Manchester and Augusta schools. He wasn't out of high school long before he married Ruth Studley on May 14, 1960 in Augusta.
Pat worked as a truck driver his entire life. His last employment, for several years, was with R.C. Moore long hauling all over the United States, where he retired from the road in 1986. After retirement, he worked part time as a driver for Enterprise Rental Car. In his earlier years, when Pat wasn't driving, he enjoyed fishing and snowmobiling.
Pat is survived by his wife of nearly 55 years, Ruth McElroy, of Manchester; his two daughters, Jacqueline McElroy of Augusta and Sheila Prescott of Livermore; his half- sister, Linda Savago, of Nebraska; and his two grandchildren, Brittany Prescott and her companion, Mark Woodard, of Fayette and Patrick Prescott of Livermore.
At Pat's request, there will be no funeral services.
Arrangements are in the care of Knowlton & Hewins Funeral Home and Cremation Service, One Church St., Augusta.

I am very sad to learn of Patrick's passing.
My mother, Linda, was his half sister. We only found Patrick a short time ago. I was so happy that my mother had an opportunity to meet him and get to know him.
I want to offer my most sincere condolences to his wife and children and all of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
May he rest in peace.
