Patrick Mercier Obituary
1934 - 2017
AUGUSTA - Patrick J. Mercier, 82, of Augusta, died in Augusta Wednesday April 12, 2017, after a brief illness.
He was born in Augusta Dec. 2, 1934, the son of Patrick J. and Irene (Cote) Mercier. He served his country in the Air Force as a photographer. After the Air Force, Pat became a barber and worked in Augusta until his illness forced him to retire.
Pat was predeceased by his parents; two sisters, Cecille and Dorothy; and a son, Michael Mercier.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Shirley (Alexander) Mercier; his sister, Jeanette Cote; five sons, Mark Mercier and his wife, Darcy, Patrick J. Mercier, Glenn Mercier and his wife, Sharon, Dan Mercier and Tim Mercier, three daughters, Colleen Mercier, Kathy Lawrence, and Dolly Hardigan, three stepchildren, Ernest J. Swails, Sandy Swails and Pammy Swails; 28 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
At Pat's request, there will be no services at this time.
