Pauline Riendeau Obituary

WINDSOR - Pauline Marie Riendeau (Lachance), 71, of Windsor went to be with the Lord on Friday, Nov. 23, 2018. Pauline passed peacefully with family by her side at her Windsor home.

Pauline was born on Nov. 2, 1947 in Augusta. She was the daughter of Adelbert and Bertha (Gilbert) Lachance. Pauline attended St. Augustine school in Augusta. Pauline married Gerald Riendeau on Feb. 5, 1966, in Hartford, Conn.

Pauline was a kind, loving and gentle soul who enjoyed spending her days with family, friends and truly valuing her special relationship with God. She was a stay-at-home mom most of her years until starting her retail career at WalMart until retirement.

She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with all of her heart. She was a faithful servant of God. Her faith was unstoppable. Praying every day for her family and will continue from heaven above. Her "family" consisted of more than blood. She cherished her church family, loving everyone beyond words. Her presence will also certainly be missed at the Augusta WalMart where she had made many friends over her years there.

She will be greatly missed but she left us with so much love!

Pauline is survived by her husband, Gerald. Her brothers, Donald Lachance of Jackman and Claremont, Fla., Richard Lachance, his wife, Brenda of Randolph, Robert Lachance and his wife Gerene of Augusta; a son, Roland Riendeau and his wife, Melanie, of Newcastle and their children, Eric and Chelsey; great-grandchildren, Connor and Erza; daughter, Linda Szabo, and her husband, Richard, of China and their children, Michael and Dixie; daughter, Nancy Crockett, and her fiance, Edward Pollard, of Windsor and their children, Samantha, Jeffrey and Scarlett.

She was predeceased by her parents; two sisters, Lucille Bastille and Simone Riendeau; and two brothers, Norman and Roland; stepgranddaughter, Ashley Rideout.

A memorial service will be held at the 1st United Pentecostal Church, 10 Wilson St., Augusta, on Saturday Dec. 1, at 10 a.m.

A very special thank you to all of the wonderful friends and family who brought over food, Dunkin' Donuts coffee or who just came over and spent time with us. It is appreciated! I will miss how just by seeing her coming in to shop at Walmart would always make my day a little brighter. She was a special angel that walked on Earth with us for too short a time.

Pauline was the kindest caring friend I ever had. We grew up together and were always laughing about something silly. As adults, we would often see each other when shopping. She always reached out to me and would make me smile. Her faith in the Lord was strong, and she would tell me she would pray for me and my family. My heartfelt condolences to all of her family. Remember love never dies, and her spirit is with the Lord.

Sorry for your loss. She was an awesome lady. She loved everyone, I never missed a hug ,when I saw her visiting her church, seeing her at Maine Pea Cove Camp ,no matter where you saw her she called your name and so lovingly would hug you. I gave her a nickname" Faith ", she was so faithful to her pastor and church family. She will be missed.Jesus is hugging her now.

When thinking of her, the first word to come to mind is 'faithful'. No doubt she will hear that coveted commendation from the One she longs most to hear it from. Just simply her consistent presence made an impact on my life. Thank you, Sis. Riendeau.
