Robert Frith Obituary
1954 - 2017
WEST GARDINER - Robert C. Frith, 63, of West Gardiner, died suddenly Friday, Jan. 20, 2017 doing exactly what loved. He was the first New Years baby born in Augusta on Jan. 1, 1954, a son of Burton and Joyce Simmons Frith.
He was a graduate of Gardiner Area High School Class of 1972. He joined the National guard in 1973. Bobby was an over the road truck driver for many years. Since retiring this fall he has been driving a truck for BHS, Inc in Farmingdale. He enjoyed fast cars, big trucks and Harley's. He dragged raced and tinkered on an array of things for many years with his close friend Henry/Joe/ Newt.
Bobby was predeceased by his parents and grandparents and life long best friend Henry LeClair…
He is survived by his daughter Kaela Frith of West Gardiner; two granddaughters Marissa Chadbourne and Alexandria Lexy Chadbourne; great-grandson, Kayden Ford; sister Brenda Lewis, two brothers, David Frith and his wife, and John Frith; several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner, on Friday Jan. 27 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. followed by a service at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be in the spring in the family in Mt Hope Cemetery, Augusta.

I am so sad Bob is gone. We met a few years ago, through a mutual friend when he was looking for personal care after hip surgery. I took the job. It was no job at all! We became fast friends. I moved away, and came home several times, and he said his door was always open to me. That was Bob. Open-hearted, sweet, gentle, great story teller, and he LOVED to tell them, haha, and just a purely, good man. I regret that I hadn't been back long this time, when I learned he was gone. He was on my list of friends to catch up with.
Bob, you were my friend, always, anytime, no boundaries. I will miss you greatly. RIP, Biker Bob.

I'm so sorry to hear of bobby passing such a wonderful man and friend always smiling going to miss seeing him at Fuller's he had a kind soul and will be greatly miss sending prayers to the family and close friends so glad I had the chance to meet and spend so much time chatting .

I am so very sorry to hear of Bobbys' passing. The first time I ever met him, he had his dogs in the back of his truck and they scared the living daylights out of me! Well! What a kick he got out of that after he calmed those poor dogs down! He was always joking around with everyone at the Country Cafe. His gentle and kind soul will never be forgotten.
