Ruth Shepherd Obituary
1922 - 2016
BELGRADE - Ruth I. Shepherd, 93, of Manchester Road, died on Feb. 11, 2016, at MaineGeneral Rehabilitation and Long Term Care Center at Glenridge Drive, Augusta, after an extended illness. She was born in Augusta on March 10, 1922, the daughter of Russell S. Snow and Edith (Mason) Snow.
Ruth graduated from Cony High School in Augusta.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the Kennebec County Clerk of Courts for 20 years.
She was predeceased by her husband, Clayton F. Shepherd, in 2007. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Dorothy Sesto.
Surviving are her son, David R. Shepherd and his wife Claire of Belgrade; two granddaughters: Laura Shepherd of Vienna, and Lynn Shepherd and her fiancee Jon Reid of Vassalboro and their children Alycia, Bethany and Ethan Lyon, and Hannah Reid; two brothers: Harold M. Snow of Manchester, and Edward Snow of Zephyrhills, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours are 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 16, at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta. No funeral service is planned. Spring burial will be in Reynold's Hill Cemetery, Sidney. Condolences, photos, and memories may be shared at: www.plummerfh.com

So sorry to hear of the passing of Ruth. She was a dear friend that will be missed by many. I remember the wonderful times we shared at both the camp and in Florida. She is now in peace and once again in the loving arms of her husband Shep and sister Dot.
