Warren Libby Obituary

SKOWHEGAN -- Warren "Bill" Libby, 72, of Skowhegan passed away Tuesday April, 3, 2007, at his home with family and friends around him.

Bill was born on Nov. 12, 1934 in Portland, the son of June Fozzard and Elmer W. Libby.

Bill was a decorated veteran of the Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard, and a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Bill worked as a parking control officer for the Portland Police Department and also worked as a security officer for the city of Portland.

He is survived by his wife Katie (Webb) Libby of Portland, sister Josephine (Libby) DeHahn and brother Walter Libby. He is preceded in death by his father, mother, and sister Eleanor (Libby) Whitting. He is also survived by daughters Belinda Libby, and Ruth (Griffin) Seelig, and son John Norwood. He is also survived by several grandchildren, family members, and close family friends.

Funeral and burial services will be held on Wednesday, at 1 p.m. in the chapel at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 163 Mt. Vernon Road, Augusta.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Somerset Humane Society, P.O. Box 453, 123 Middle Road, Skowhegan, ME 04976.

Cremation services for Warren Libby provided by Dan & Scott's Cremation & Funeral Service of Skowhegan.
