    Frederick, 64
LIMINGTON - Charles L. Frederick, 64, of Limington, died with his wife and children by his side on Friday, Feb. 15, 2008, at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough after a sudden illness.
He was born on March 26, 1943 in Portland, the son of George Burton and Cecilia Blake Frederick. He attended Scarborough Schools and Southern Maine Technical College. He married Carolyn Lunt on April 25, 1963. Charlie worked as a plumber and pipefitter nearly all of his life and was a long time member of Local 217 and worked until the time of his illness for the University of Southern Maine. He was a member of the Scarborough Rod and Gun Club and the National Rifle Association.
Charlie was predeceased by his wife of 38 years, Carolyn, in December 2005, by his parents and nephew, Michael Frederick. He is survived by his wife, Kitty Land Frederick; her children Peter, Paula, Philip and Pam, their spouses and children. He will be sadly missed by his daughter and son-in-law, Tina Frederick and Brent Bradley; and their daughters Amber and Blake; his son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Jennifer Ouellette Frederick; and his brother and sister-in-law, George B. and Patti Frederick; as well as by his cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends and family.
Charlie most enjoyed going to camp with his family and friends, riding his Harley, laughing and sharing a smile.
His family would like to thank the staff of Maine Medical Center's Special Care Units (SCU) two and especially four for their caring, compassionate and professional care of Charlie during this sudden, difficult time and the staff of the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House for their caring support.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008, at the Hobbs Funeral Home, 230 Cottage Road, South Portland.

Charlie,
I was so fortunate to grow up so close to you, Carol, Todd & Tina. Thank you for stopping by my house a few years back to say hi and chat. I hope you knew how much that meant to me. We'll be thinking of you often, especially during late summer when cucumbers, vinegar & spices are gathered and put together to create those one of a kind "Frederick" pickles.
With much love & fond memories,
Mike

Tina, Todd, Kitty and your families,

My heart goes out to you at this time and in the days ahead. Your loss is an immense one. I hadn't seen Charlie in a very long time and regret it. I will always remember him as a fun mentor to Patty Pemberton Wallace and me, as we spent a lot of time at Charlie and Carol's house in the late 60's, early 70's. We were the built in baby-sitters then.

Hopefully fun memories and the love of family and friends will carry you through your grief.

Joan
