Edgerly, 49
CORNISH -- Daniel R. 'Boone' Edgerly, 49, of Main Street died on March 15, 2011 at the Maine Medical Center in Portland after a brief illness. He was born in Portland on August 26, 1961 a son of Myron Edgerly Jr. and Patricia Cross Edgerly. He attended local schools and graduated from Sacopee Valley High School in 1980. He married Shelly Humphrey on April 3, 1983.
He worked for several years at Blue Rock Industries in Westbrook and then for several more years at the Kezar Falls Woolen Mill until it's closing. He has worked for close to 20 years at Highland Farms in Cornish for the Pike family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He loved to golf and played in leages at the Naples Country Club. He loved spending time with family and friends. He especially enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and above all loved going for long rides with his wife, Shelley, exploring Maine and New Hampshire together. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was predeceased by his father, Myron 'Jr' Edgerly and a nephew, Ryan White.
Surviving are his wife, Shelly Edgerly of Cornish; his mother, Patty Edgerly of Cornish; a daughter, Danielle Edgerly and fiance Matt Skillin of Porter, a son, Jesse Edgerly of Cornish; two sisters, Lorna Elliott and husband Willie of Cornish and Lori Edgerly of Cornish, a brother, Stacey Edgerly and wife Lisa of South Hiram; three grandchildren, Jenah Skillin, Bayley Edgerly and Evyn Edgerly; also several nieces and nephews; and many cousins.
Visitation will be on Sunday, March 20 from 12 to 3 p.m. followed by a private prayer service for the family at 3 p.m. at the Watson, Neal & York Funeral Home, 71 Maple Street, Cornish. Pastor Robert Irish will officiate.
Burial will be private at a later date.

I cant believe so many yrs has passed by since Dan left us. I remember when Dan was a kid & how he loved taking clocks apart..We use to get a kick out of this for he did good taking them apart but could not get them back together..he had fun anyway. Thinking of you all at this time .

Shelly and family,
I am sorry for your loss..I saw Dan to talk to last wk and was happy to see him.Mom would be saddened to and she never forgot him helping to get dad up one time after falling down.Dad would talk to DAN about hunting and fishing which has been a favorite thing to do over the years.Dan minded his own business and kept to himself which made him unique.From my lost loves,MOM,DAD,NANA WING,,our condolences to you and your family..Dan will be missed by all..

To Dan's Family:
I grew up in Limerick and was a neighbor of Dan's grandmother and knew his dad. Then met Dan while he was a student at Sacopee. I have fond memories of his sense of humor and the friendliness he exhibited to everyone.
I was saddened to read of his passing.
Currently I'm in Florida and cannot make the service but my thoughts will be with his wife, children, sisters
and mother.

To Dan's family, I am so very very saddened to learn of Dan's passing and so darn young too. I have a wonderful picture of him from about 42 years ago when he was my ring bearer at my wedding. Uncle Junior fitted him out with an adorable tux and he was a big hit with everyone. Very shy and quiet but a real lovebug. And then he purchased a Chevy from us years ago also-- I remember telling him, Dan it's old and high mileage but still runs good and no real rust as it came from down south-- just the color was faded from the sun. He said it was fine, it would give him something to work on and play with as well as motor around in. I do hope and pray that your memories and the knowledge that others care alot is helpful during this difficult time. I am deeply saddened also by the fact that I'm so far away and not able to do much other than offer condolenses and love and prayers for you all. always in our hearts -- love to all, Cousin Joan
