Doreen S. (Kennerson) Norton, 61
NORWAY - Doreen S. (Kennerson) Norton, 61, of South Paris, died unexpectedly early Thursday morning, March 1, 2018 at the Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway.
She was born on July 13, 1956 in Portland, the daughter of, Richard Earl and Norma Ann (Mansell) Kennerson. She attended local schools, graduating from Deering High School and went on to attend nursing school.
As a young woman she worked as a CNA in the Portland area and in the state of Virginia.
Doreen had many interests including gardening, canning, crafts, animals, BEANO, an occasional trip to the casino and time spent with family. She also enjoyed visiting Peaks Island during the summers.
She is survived by her children, Glenn Earle, Jr. of Oxford, Shannon Valiente of South Paris and Jessica Patten and her husband, Dan Patten, Jr. of Norway; 12 grandchildren, Izabel, Abigail, Dominic, Peter, Dylan, Preston, Connor, Brookelin, Landen, Cory, Destiny, Jacob and four great-grandchildren; two siblings, David Kennerson and his wife, Cynthia of Raymond and Dianne Gaines and her companion, Christopher Shepherd of North Yarmouth; and her beloved Yorkie, Tuesday. She was predeceased by her parents; a sister, Denise Brown; an infant son, David Royal Earle; and a special springer spaniel, Javi.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday March 17, 2018 from 1-4 p.m. at the South Paris Fire Station, 137 Western Ave. in South Paris. Words of condolence and tribute may be shared at
