     Nellie Abbott, 89
     WATERBORO -- Ellen Elizabeth Nellie Abbott, 89,died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008, at the Newton Center, Sanford following a short illness.
     She was born in Portland on Sept. 27, 1918, the daughter of George C. and Maude H. Jones Noyce. She was educated in Portland schools and attended Deering High School.
     Ellen was a charter member of the Rebekah Lodge joining in 1952, and was also a Past District Deputy President. She was also a charter member of the Waterboro fire department ladies auxiliary, Eastern Star member of Alfred and a member of the 1918 club.
     Her husband Percy Abbott Jr. died in 1985; two sons, George and John; a brother George; and a great-granddaughter Amanda also died previously. Survivors are two daughters, Ann Abbott with whom she made her home, Audrey Flood and her husband Fred of Vernon, Conn., her son Robert and his wife Dorothy of Gorham; her brother Frank Noyce and his wife Sue of Gorham; two daughters-in-law, Sharon Wright Abbott of Waterboro and Joanne Laprise Abbott of North Berwick; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
