Gisele Cote Obituary
SACO - Gisele Dube Cote, of Saco, passed away on July 14, 2017, after a long illness.
She was born April 20, 1935, in St. Benoit, Packington, Canada; and was married May 17, 1954, to Robert Cote, also from St. Benoit.
In 1960, they moved to Maine where she and her husband Robert (who predeceased her in 2000) raised their five children. She worked in the Bidde-ford mills for 32 years and retired in 1995.
Gisele enjoyed her children and grandchildren and loved being "Memere's Taxi" for them. Nothing made her happier. (As fate would have it, for the past few years, it was "Grandchildren's Taxi," transporting Memere.)
She is survived by her five children, eight grandchildren, and three great-granddaughters: Carole (Norman Parisien), sons Robert and Michael (Kristen), great-granddaughter Gisele; son Ghislain, daughter Michelle (Bill Gallitto), great-granddaughters Grace and Evelyn, and son Eric (Jenna); Renelle (Creed Ray), son Creed; Colombe (Stephan Connolly), daughter Michelle; and Martine (John Eon), daughter Victoria and son Alexander. Gisele has one brother who predeceased her, Real Dube, in 1992; and is survived by five brothers: Jean-Guy (Mariette), Gerard (Monique), Viateur (Pauline), Bertho (Ginette), and Laval; and three sisters: Marie-Paule (Rene), Fernande, and Marjolaine (Norman); and many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend a special and heart-felt thank you to her neighbors, Pete and Sue, for all their kindness and assistance during the difficult years as her illness progressed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, between the hours of 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 20, at noon at Saint Joseph's Church of the Good Shepherd Parish on Elm Street in Biddeford.
