I joined the US Army and went in 11 March 1971. I was assigned B 17 5 in boot camp and have tried to find out more and came across Roland who was assigned there and left around the time I was there. If he was personnel I'm sure I came into contact with him if he was there on and after 11 March 1971. I now hate to see my battle buddies pass away and it seems to be happening more often as I am getting older.
Sincerely, Julian P Burke

I was in Company B 17th Battalion 5th Brigade in 1971 and would be nice if he still had any records of that service.

Roland went out of his way To help me when we was my job coach at Home Depot. I always felt he was there for me. I miss our conversations. I am sorry that I did not hear of his passing until just now, but I remember him fondly.

My sympathies go to all the family. I remember how much we all used to hang around together when we were younger. Roland will be missed so much. He was such a gentle soul and a dear cousin. We will see him again one day in our heavenly home. I pray God comforts all those who are mourning his loss. Love to all.
