PORTLAND -- Theresa J. Little, age 74, of Stevens Ave. died Sunday afternoon July 28, 2013 at the Barron Center following a brief illness. She was born in Portland the daughter of Daniel and Queenie Iovine DeLuca where she attended local schools graduating from Portland High School class of 1956.
Theresa was employed at Mercy Hospital as a CNA-CRMA for 16 years, and later was employed at Falmouth By The Sea for several years until her retirement.
She was a former communicant of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, and later was a communciant of St. Pius X Catholic Church. She was a past member of the Eagles Club and the Ladies Auxillary VFW Deering Post 6859.
She was predeceased by her husband William Little in 2008. She leaves a brother, Dominic and his wife Sally DeLuca of Falmouth, two sisters, Camilla Burns of Windham, Joan and her husband Ronald Johnson of Gorham; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews.
Relative and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation at Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home 199 Woodford Street, Portland on Wednesday July 31, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian of Burial will be celebrated Thursday August 1, 2013 at 10 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church with Fr. Richard Bertrand, S.J. as celebrant. Committal service will follow at 1 p.m. at Maine Veteran's Memorial Cemetery (New Section) Augusta.
