Timothy Vrabel Obituary
BATH -- Timothy J. Vrabel, 63, of Bath, passed away at home on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born on Aug. 13, 1949, in North Adams, Mass., to Joseph and
the late Mary Vrabel.
Tim was the beloved husband of Barbara; devoted Dad to Lindsay Larrabee and Leslie Vrabel; father-in-law to Neal Larrabee; doting grandfather to Camden and Chace; and loving brother to Joe Vrabel, Ann Vrabel, and Peter Vrabel.
A celebration of life will be held at The Maine Maritime Museum on Feb. 3, from 1-4 p.m., to celebrate Tim's life. At 2 p.m. there will be story sharing. Condolences may be expressed at www.funeralalternatives.net.
Two of Tim's life passions were his hiking/ice climbing trips and his work with the boys at Camp Kawanhee. In lieu of flowers,
donations can be made to Baxter State Park Millinocket,
or camp Kawanhee for boys.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Tim's death. Having memories of his kindness and thoughtfulness to me at CMP in the 1990's. He spoke to me of his family and the daughter who played the flute, which he sold to me for my daughter who played. He went out of his way to to have some old world maps that I saved from the trash, to have them mounted on foam board so I could enjoy them. I still have them today and when I look at them I remember how friendly and kind he was.
He was a good human being with a kind heart.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Tim's family and I am so sorry for your loss.

Barb, I'm so very sorry to hear of Tim's passing. He was a good friend from the day I met him in 1982. His passing is a loss for all of us, and he will be missed by many, many people.

Barbara...I can't stop thinking of you. I am so sorry to hear about Tim. At our reunion I kept thinking how great you both looked and how happy you were. Why does such a bad thing happen to such good people so young. I know you will miss him...

Dear Brab-
I am so sorry to learn of Tim's death. The pictures of Tim on Facebook captured the same smile and love of life that I remember when Tim lived with Mark and Bruce in Rockland.
I know that you will miss him deeply and can only hope that the many happy memories of Tim that you are able to share with your family will bring some comfort.

Tim exemplified what a human being should be. Through my work with Tim at CMP, I witnessed Tim console distraught customers during the Ice Storm and then lift the spirits of tired co-workers. In the mid 1990's he inspired a group of us to gain our Masters degrees through Husson college. I was fortunate to have known this wonderful fellow and will mourn his passing. The family should know how many lives Tim touched. God rest his soul.

I was very saddened to hear of Tim's passing. I remember what a great guy he was from our high school days. I can remember sitting with Tim and his wife at the 25th high school reunion. Such a sweet and kind person. My sympathies to his family.

I am so sorry to hear of Tim's passing. My heart goes out to Tim's wife, family and all those who he touched. We both worked for the Maine Office of Energy Resources in the 1980s and I have been fortunate to connect with Tim during his Efficiency Maine days too. I will miss Tim, his kindness, dedication, and winning smile. May he rest in peace.

I was so sad to read of Tim's passing this week. He was a colleague from our days at CMP. I will always remember his great and infectious smile, his zest for adventure and love for his family and time spent outdoors - be it skiing or hiking.

Tim you were a great friend. You will be missed by so many. We had many laughs together. I remember going to a Class Reunion where we used our graduation photos as our ID badges. You wore mine and I wore yours. We had so many laughs as people first stared, looked us over carefully and attempted to unravel that "Mutt & Jeff" image they once remembered. You now sit atop the highest mountain in the world. Rest in Peace Tim.

I am very sad to hear of Tim's death. Tim was a fellow co-worker and most importantly, a good friend who always offered to make improvements at my camp. I always loved hearing his winter climbing stories at Baxter with his friends. My thoughts and prayers are with Barbara and family.
