William Hunt Obituary

William "Bill" Hunt, 57
PORTLAND - William "Bill" Hunt, of Portland, died suddenly at his home on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017.
Born Jan. 1, 1960, Bill grew up in Bangor, and graduated from Bangor High School, Class of 1978. He attended the University of Maine at Orono, Class of 1982, and continued on to receive his master's degree in finance. Bill was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity.
Bill worked in the loan review department at TD Bank as a vice president for 22 years. Collectively, he had 30 years in the banking industry. He loved trips to Disney, listening to loons from his porch at Coffee Pond, welcoming friends and family for game nights, back yard barbecues, and puttering about his yard and home. Bill could often be found at the sidelines of cheering competitions, soccer games, and never missed a parent teacher conference. But mostly, he loved and adored his beautiful twin daughters, Cassidy and Meredith; and his wife of 29 years, Cheryl (Hodsdon) Hunt.
Bill was predeceased by his father, William E. Hunt; mother, Edith P. (Wescott) Willey; mother-in-law, Marilyn Hodsdon; and stepbrother, Lloyd Willey.
Bill is survived by his wife, Cheryl (Hodsdon) Hunt, and their daughters, Cassidy and Meredith Hunt; father-in-law, Philip Hodsdon; stepbrother, James Willey Jr., and wife Barbara; stepsisters, Beverly Loring and husband Peter; and Susan McKay and wife Patti Woolley; sisters-in-law, Jay Willey and Helen Willey; brothers-in-law, Randy Hodsdon and wife Denise, Bruce Hodsdon and wife Susan, and Barry Hodsdon; and many nieces and nephews.
The family thanks all the family, friends and neighbors for their love and support.
A celebration of Bill's life will be held at the Falmouth County Club, 1 Congressional Dr., in Falmouth, on Sunday, Nov. 26, at 1 p.m. To share a memory or condolence, please visit: www.coastalcremationservices.com.
