Catherine Kempf Obituary

Catherine A. “Cathy” Kempf, Esq., 68 of Wynnewood, PA, passed away with her daughters by her side as the sun set on August 25, 2021. This date, while relevant, will not be the last day that Cathy has brought joy to the people in her life. Cathy was born into the loving arms of the late Joseph “Earl” and Catherine C (McNamee) Seiger. She was the second child of what was to become a large and close-nit family. Cathy was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, Stony Brook University, New York and Temple Law School, Philadelphia, where she earned her law degree and Masters of taxation. Cathy spent the first half of her career as an attorney. After she left her career in law, she found her true passion when she became both a Philadelphia and National leader, as well as the Website Director for the Flame of Love (https://flameoflove.us) Cathy’s greatest joys in life came from her family and her devotion to God. She will always be remembered for her limitless love, kindness, generosity, selflessness, and ability to find joy in every part of her life. She was preceded in death by her sister Maureen Seiger and niece Kim Conklin. Her spirit will be carried on by her three daughters Katie, Chrissy, and Kelly Kempf, her grandson Hartley Joseph Rybas, and her brothers and sisters: James, Charles “Chuckie” and his wife Fern, and Ann Marie Seiger, Donna Conklin, all of Wilkes-Barre, Joseph Seiger and his wife Joyce, Trexlertown, PA, and Sharon Santarelli and her husband Alan, Plains, and her six nieces and nephews. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family from the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705. A memorial service will be held in the Philadelphia area in the following weeks. In lieu of flowers, please celebrate Cathy’s life with a mass card in her name, or a donation to a charity that helps to support the work of Cathy’s good friend Jesus. I have wonderful memories of Cathy who I have not spoken to since her move to Philadelphia. We met at Wagner College and continued our friendship at Stony Brook University. I brought a husky dog out to her family in Pa and saw what a loving clan she originated from. We had so many great adventures. I always wanted to speak with her again to know how life had treated her. It appears to have been a beautiful life.
Message to self: Don´t wait to reconnect with important friends in your life. Life moves too fast and is too short. I will miss her! God bless.

I was going to call Cathy on her birthday, hadn't spoken to her in a few years, and went to look up her current whereabouts. So Sorry to hear about this, she was my best friend in law school and I miss her.
She was the kindest, most loving person.
