Faith W. Bascome

Faith W. Bascome age 79, passed away suddenly on April 28, 2013. She was a graduate of Radnor High School where she performed well academically and excelled athletically in lacrosse, hockey and basketball. She received her teaching degree from West Chester State College and became coach and athletic director. She held that position for over 20 years and was honored by her entrance into the Notre Dame Sports Hall of Fame. She was the wife of 60 years to her husband Herbert and the mother of 3 children Jeff, Victoria and Abigail. Faith was an active member of St. Mary Episcopal Church, where she successfully helped run the church's thrift shop, which supported the church's outreach program. She was also an active member of the Kiwanis Club of the Upper Main Line and was a key fundraiser for scholarships which are awarded annually to deserving students from Conestoga, Great Valley and Downingtown High Schools. Relatives and friends were invited to a Communion Service at St. Mary Episcopal Church, Wayne on Saturday, May 4, 2013. Interment was private.
