June Flagler Obituary

June Rose Flagler 94 a Long time Wayne resident June Rose Flagler died on July 27 at the Rosemont Presbyterian Village where she had lived for the past five years. She was born in Boyertown, Pennsylvania on June 26, 1919, the daughter and eighth child of William and Ella Rose. She moved to Wayne following the Second World War and her marriage to local resident Joseph Flagler. June's first love was always her family. She raised three children; Joan of New Canaan, Connecticut, Jill of Paoli, and a son Jack who predeceased her. She also leaves behind four grandchildren; Jeffrey and Jessica Burnap, Sarah and Hayley Snyder, and three great-grandchildren, Isabella, Jayden and Spencer Burnap. Joe Flagler, her husband of sixty-seven years, died in 2009. June's kindness, selflessness, and compassion touched the lives of everyone with whom she came in contact. She gave of herself tirelessly and any time spent with her was a blessing and a privilege for the many who loved her. The family requests that donations be made to the Rosemont Presbyterian Village Friendship Fund, 404 Cheswick Place, Rosemont, PA 19010.

June was a great lady and taught me how to age with grace. She was always positive and kept looking forward. I will treasure her friendship forever. Sorry I could not attend the services due to another funeral, but know that my thoughts were there.

I always loved to visit Aunt June's house. She had fun backyard parties. Her and Aunt Sara were the best! They are together again in heaven.
