Leonard was an extraordinary person, truly one of a kind. We overlapped in graduate school and I vividly remember his wonderful personality and also his enthusiasm for his studies. He was super smart, full of insight, and I wish so much that I could talk to him again and learn from him.

I have just learned about Dr. Primiano from an article that he wrote. I was contemplating reaching out to him to discuss his work, and to invite him to a symposium to speak. So sorry to find out that he has passed on to eternal life.
Eternal life grant unto him, O Lord, and let the perpetual light shine upon him; may the soul of Leonard Primiano, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Dr. Primiano,
I met you through Bill Uditsky. After reading the obituary, I was surprised the degrees you earned from the University of Pennsylvania. Thanks for paying for my dinner that I was not invited to. Only the honors kids were allowed. Some how Bill Uditsky, snuck me in. I don't remember what I ate that day. But I remember it was fun having dinner with the honors kids. Another memory, I have is cleaning your office one day, I was not feeling good. I ate something from the Atlantic City boardwalk, made my stomach upset. I sucked it up and helped a little. I went with Bill Uditsky, to Atlantic City for his senior week and I snuck in. It was fun. Thanks for paying for my dinner and god bless.

Leonard and I overlapped as graduate students in Religious Studies at the University of Pennsylvania. He brought intellectual dynamism to the program with his enthusiasm for ideas and scholarship. His research on Father Divine, which he presented to us (students and faculty) was fascinating. I am grateful for his publications and just wish future generations could experience Leonard's wonderful sense of excitement when he spoke about his research. Leonard was warm and enthusiastic, kind and generous and I will always remember him with his big smile and feel his energetic presence. I am grateful to have known him.
