Mary Bernadette Maier

1944 - 2014

Mary Bernadette Maier, (nee Jones) of Ardmore, loving mother to Lisa passed away on November 5 at home. She was born in Philadelphia to Melvin and Mary Jones. She graduated from Notre Dame High School, attended Drexel University on a full scholarship and earned a Master's of Science Degree. She also earned a teaching degree at St. Joseph University. She was an information technology specialist working for Wang Industries, Reliance Insurance and SCT/Sunguard. She was a Chairperson for Wishes and Dreams for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Her daughter has CF. She was an active member of the Democratic National Committee. She liked to read the New York Times and Time Magazine, liked to travel and enjoyed going to the Jersey Shore especially Ocean City and Somers Point. She is survived by her daughter Lisa Maier, her cousins Susan Moore and Peggy Friel, her aunt Gladys Spense, her niece Tara Foster, her former husband John Maier and her sister in law Evelyn Diament. She was predeceased by her sister Margaret Jones. Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Saturday at 10:00am in St. John Chrysostom Church 617 S. Providence Rd. Wallingford.
