Alene Ellis

Alene Ellis, 80, of Prattsville passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2022. She was born October 21, 1941, in Emmett, AR the daughter of the late Jasper and Dorothy Mae Buck Langley. Alene was a member of Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church. She was close to all the children in her community. She loved being a grandmother, shopping, flowers, and fishing in her pond. She is preceded in death by her father, Jasper Langley; mother, Dorothy Mae Buck Merritt; husband, whom she married on November 30, 1957, Raymond Carl Ellis; son, Jimmy Albert Ellis; sisters, Carlene Lawson, Olene LeGrande and Christene Langley; brother, Wayne Langley and stepfather, Huey Merritt.
Survivors, children, Carl David Ellis (Mary) of Prattsville, Bobby Charles Ellis of Prattsville, Alan Dewayne Ellis (Tiffany) of Sheridan, Loretta Faye Carter of Prattsville, Dorothy Annette Rendeluk (Jeff) of Malvern and Kimberly Alene Sheridan (Bob) of Sheridan; sister, Gladene Willis (Charles Ellis) of Mooringsport, Louisiana; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Saturday, July 16 at 2:00pm at Regency Funeral Home with Brother Jerry Wallace officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jon Carter, Chris Ellis, Dewayne Ellis, Jasper Ellis, Logan Ellis and Nathan Sheridan. Honorary pallbearer will be Jeff Rendeluk.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church, 2511 Hwy 190 S, Prattsville, AR 72129.
