Ellen Marie Hedges

1952 - 2026

Ellen Marie Hedges, age 73, of Malvern, passed away Saturday February 28, 2026. She was born July 9, 1952, in Malvern, to the late Arlon and Nateline (York) Hobbs. She and her husband David were owners and operators of Huskey Bridge Contractors, Inc. She was an active supporter of the Hot Spring County 4-H program as well as multiple ball teams and donations to Make-A Wish over the years. She was many things to so many people and will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, Nana, and Aunt Ellen to her loving family.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband of almost 54 years, David Hedges; children, Danny Hedges (Becky), Erin Holleman (Chris), Erika Watkins (Michael), and Cheyenne Fite (Brady); grandchildren, Peyton Hedges, Kate Hedges, Mason Watkins, Hollis Watkins, Tucker Holleman, Zack Holleman (Ji Eun Seo), Abel Holleman, and Lyla Fite; siblings, Joe Hobbs, Danny Hobbs (Shannon), and Steve Hobbs (Debbie); sister at heart, Gail Crutchfield, and numerous other loved ones, family, and friends that will miss her dearly.
Funeral Service will be at 1:30 PM Tuesday March 3, at Regency Funeral Home with Brother Matt Crutchfield officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM prior to the service. Burial will follow at Clear Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Riley Hobbs, Seth Hobbs, Blake Wingo, Mark Kindy, Conner Homan, and Edward Hedges.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Albert Chinn, Dr. Gregory St. John, Dr. Shawn Purifoy, and the staff at NPMC in Hot Springs for the excellent care they gave to Ellen.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The family will be gathered at the home of Becky and Danny Hedges.
