Laverne Sealy Obituary
Laverne was a proud member of the Seventh-day Adventist community, which played a significant role in her life and values. She found great fulfillment in nurturing her relationships, whether through family gatherings or cherished moments with close friends. Her passions included cooking and traveling, particularly her memorable trips out west, which she undertook with great enthusiasm.
Laverne is survived by her adoring daughter, Virginia Sealy, grandchildren Ian Schoggin, Dane Nunley, and Bryceson D. Nunley. She also leaves behind a legacy of joy through her great-grandchildren, Christian Schoggin, Mati Schoggin, Andi Schoggin, and a great-great-grandson, Steel Schoggin. Additionally, Laverne is remembered fondly by numerous nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of family and friends who cherished her spirit and warmth.
She now rejoins her dear parents, James and Laura Wilson; her devoted husband, Adron E. Sealy, with whom she shared 69 wonderful years of marriage; and her son, Robert Ellis Sealy, who preceded her in death. Together, they are remembered for their unwavering love, which greatly enriched Laverne's life.
Funeral services for Laverne Sealy will be held at Atkinson Funeral Chapel in Malvern, Arkansas. Visitation will take place on September 18, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by the funeral service on September 19, 2025, at 2:00 PM, internment will follow at the Upper Antioch Cemetery. The family welcomes all who wish to pay their respects and celebrate her remarkable life.
Laverne's memory will continue to live on through those she loved and touched, a testament to a life lived with kindness and devotion.
