Raymond Lee (Ray) Robbins, 81, of Poyen, passed peacefully into the arms of his Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 22, 2025. Born June 18, 1944, to Joe Robbins and Annie Mae (Parker) Robbins, Ray lived a life marked by faith, devotion, and a deep love for both his family and the outdoors.
He was a faithful member of Poyen Assembly of God Church for many years serving as a deacon and in any capacity needed. He loved the Lord with all his heart, and his servant's heart was evident to everyone who knew him. Whether he was lending a hand, offering a prayer, or encouraging others in their walk with God, Ray lived out his faith with humility and grace.
Ray retired from Alcoa after thirty-five years of dedicated service, but retirement only gave him more time for the things that brought him joy. He was an avid outdoorsman who found peace in God's creation-whether hunting at daybreak, fishing along a quiet bank, checking his traps, or tending a garden that always seemed to flourish under his care. He passed that love of the outdoors down to his children and grandchildren, creating memories that will be treasured for generations.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Joann Robbins Eubanks; and two brothers, Don Robbins and Jimmy Robbins.
He leaves behind the love of his life and wife of sixty years, Margaret Morehead Robbins; three daughters, Alicia Wilson (Mark) and Vickie Goodman (Nathan), both of Poyen, and Tonya Beard (Jason) of Prattsville; seven grandchildren, Chelsea Plummer, Tyler Wilson (Bri), Hannah Holford (Eli), Emma Atnip (Jacob), Parker Beard, Korbin Beard, and Beckett Beard; seven great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews. His family was his greatest earthly joy, and he adored each one.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 25th at Regency Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, November 26th at Poyen Assembly of God Church with Bro. Jason Keisler, Bro. Nathan Rogers, and Bro. Barney Fuller officiating, with burial following at Lindsey-Poyen Cemetery.
