Garry Laverne Cater, 80, of Brethren, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025. He was born on July 30, 1945, in Brethren's Dickson Township where he was a lifelong resident.
Garry is survived by: Mary, his wife of 44 years; his sister, Rita (John) Gustafson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by: his son, Terry; his parents "Bob" and Irene Cater; and his brothers, Harvey, Delbert, and Gerald.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 6, at 11:00 a.m. at Lakeshore Church (1201 Lakeshore Road) in Manistee with Pastor Philip Harrell officiating.
The Terwilliger Funeral Home, in Kaleva, is in charge of arrangements.
