Our beloved Gino has departed to his forever home with our Lord on Wednesday, August 3, 2022. Gino was the son of Michael and Carmella Nacco, who are both deceased, born in Detroit, Michigan, on January 26, 1937. He graduated from high school in 1955 and served in the military for Army Corps of Engineers.
Gino had two children, Cindy and Michael, which were the joy of his life. Michael passed away in 2007. Cindy (Mark) Dagnall have three children and three grandchildren. Ryan (Stephanie) Addy Dagnall and soon to be Willow; Christian (Sharon) Dagnall; and Amanda (Jay) Aria, Mia Merrill. Gino married Kathryn Kress on June 9, 1984. His sister, Gloria and brother, Andrew are deceased and his sister Genny is surviving.
Gino worked for Bendix/Allied Corporations for 44 years, starting out in engineering for the research laboratories and later in facilities management. He enjoyed his work in all the various departments he was assigned to. As a facilities manager, he managed a large complex for the engineering and testing facility in the seat belt sector. He retired in 1998 and moved to his new home in Onekama, Michigan.
Gino was a man of great curiosity and pursued many interesting projects: fishing, sled dog racing, flying model airplanes, trains, snowmobiling, sailing, and motorcycles. Of all of these endeavors, he loved his family more than all of the others.
A Mass of Christian Burial, with Father Ruben Munoz, will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Onekama. It will be a private service for immediate family. A memorial mass will be held at a later date in early Fall for other family and friends.
The Terwilliger Funeral Home, in Kaleva, is in charge of arrangements.
