Lois G. Roosa, age 89.
A celebration of life memorial service is being held for Lois G. Roosa, age 89, of Bear Lake and formerly of Clarkston, who died last September 8, 2024. The service will be officiated by the Rev. Amy Mayo-Moyle.
The service will be on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 10 a.m. visitation and 11 a.m. service at Clarkston United Methodist Church, 6600 Waldon Rd, Clarkston, MI.
Lois was born April 5, 1935, in Pontiac, MI, the daughter of the late Alfred and Ruth (Thorpe) Kuenzer. She attended Waterford Schools and was a graduate of Waterford Township High School. On July 23, 1955, she married Stan Roosa in Pontiac. Prior to becoming a mother of two boys, she was a secretary at GM - Pontiac Motor Division. In 1969, she became the church secretary for Clarkston United Methodist Church, serving under ministers Rev. Frank Cozadd, Rev. Paul Cargo, Rev. James Balfour, and Rev. Doug Trebilcock before retiring to Bear Lake in 1994.
She was survived by sons, Douglas (Nancy) Roosa of Ann Arbor and David Roosa of Sheboygan, WI; grandchildren, Natalie Roosa of Royal Oak, Paul (Thalia) Roosa of Novi, and Logan (Mykah) Stone of Oconomowoc, WI.
She was preceded in death by brother, Philip Kuenzer; and sisters, Joyce Graham and Esther (Dee) Blain.
The family welcomes you to gather to celebrate in joy, the life of Lois. In lieu of flowers, the family requests consideration for memorial contributions directed to the memorial fund at Clarkston United Methodist Church at www.clarkstonumc.org or to Bear Lake Promoters for Bear Lake's annual Sparkle in the Park Christmas display at www.bearlakepromotors.com.
