Mary Millard

Mary Lou Millard, age 90, of Manistee, MI and Mooresville, NC, passed away on November 17, 2025. Born in Hammond, IN, she was the daughter of Charles and Edna Cinotti and a graduate of Franklin College.
Mary Lou worked as a reporter and editor for The Times of Hammond and later as editor of The Calumet Press in Highland, IN. In 1957 she married James Millard, who preceded her in death in 2019.
She is survived by her sons, Chuck (Tawnya) of Mooresville, NC, and Steve (Sue) of Carmel, IN; grandchildren Sam, Eric, Max, Jenna, and Quinn; great-grandchild Theo; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Karen (Frank) Fucile.
Mary Lou and Jim retired to Michigan, where she was active in township government, local volunteer groups, and the Bear Lake United Methodist Church.
She will be remembered for her love of the beach, walking, gardening, reading, and especially her grandchildren. The family is grateful for the compassionate care provided by Via Hospice of Davidson, NC and encourages support for hospice organizations.
