Patric Guzikowski Obituary

Patric Guzikowski
Manistee, Michigan
01/13/1949 - 09/26/2025
Patric Guzikowski, 76, passed away unexpectedly on September 26, 2025, in Traverse City, MI in the presence of family, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, generosity, and contributions to community.
Patric was born on January 13th, 1949, in Manistee, Michigan, to Mildred and Claude Guzikowski, and graduated from Manistee High School Class of 1967. His strong work ethic was evident early on as he began his career with Packaging Corporation of America before dedicating himself to his trade as an ironworker and retiring as a proud member of the Ironworkers Local 340.
Beyond his career, Patric poured his heart into establishing Guzikowski Farms-a place where, for more than 40 years, he nurtured Christmas trees and cultivated nursery stock for landscaping, finding both peace and purpose in the land's steady rhythm. Whether he was cherishing afternoon swims in the lake, marveling at underwater worlds while scuba diving, or feeling the exhilaration of slicing across the water on skis, Patric embraced every adventure. He relished quiet afternoons fishing, thrilled in the challenge of the hunt, navigated local waters by boat, and found joy exploring new places through travel. Each experience added richness to a life deeply rooted in passion and discovery. Patric will be remembered not only for his accomplishments, but for the way he lived his life. He was a devoted father to his three boys, a favorite uncle who could always make you laugh, a neighbor who was quick to lend a helping hand, a proud grandfather and great grandfather, and a loyal friend to so many. His presence filled every room, and his kindness touched countless livesPatric was preceded in death by his father, Claude; his mother, Mildred, his sister, Sue ;and his beloved sons, David and Marc. He is survived by his brothers Thomas and James; his son, Troy (Kerrie Haminger); his grandchildren, Michael (Amanda) and Chelsea Snavley (Alec); his great-grandchildren, Easton, Avery, Claire Snavley, and Kennedy Snavley; including many nieces and nephews, and extended family who will continue to carry his memory in their hearts.
Patric's life was one of strength, devotion, and love. His family and friends will forever cherish the lessons he taught, the laughter he shared, and the example he set through his enduring spirit.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Oak Grove Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Manistee. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time of the celebration. A reception will follow.

I´m so sad to hear! I always made sure to keep cool, manly stamps on hand specially for Pat! When I transferred office, Pat still went out of his way to come visit. I will miss seeing him walk thru the door. RIP Mr. Guzikowski.

Pat was our rv neighbor every year for a few months in Pass Christian.
Pat always had a smile on his face and a hand to lend his neighbor.

We´ll miss you this winter riding your bike, walking around the park and at Friday night bingo.

RIP our friend.

I have known Pat for 51 years and consider him an extremely close friend. We were next door neighbors for about 47 years and I will treasure the great times we had together from putting in and taking out our docks, pilings and boats each year to having "wine time" on our boats , or at our homes. I introduced Pat to Arizona where he brought his RV to join us.

The evening before his stroke, we were sitting together at his tree farm having a great time as always enjoying the scenery and each others company and conversation.

I find it hard to believe he is gone, but will always remember the great times we had together.
