Paul Wojciechowski
Conyers Georgia
July 29, 2025
Paul Allan Wojciechowski, 67, son of Joseph Stanley Wojciechowski and Hedwig Theresa (Kowalski) Wojciechowski lost his battle with esophageal cancer on July 29, 2025. He died quietly in his home in Conyers, GA, surrounded by friends and family. He is pre-deceased by his parents and his brother, Michael Wojciechowski. He is survived by his wife, Mary Alice (Cahoon) Wojciechowski; brother, John Wojciechowski; sister, Susan (Wojciechowski) Stetler; children, Jacob Wojciechowski and Marika (Wojciechowski) Mullen; and his grandchildren, Isaac and Martin Mullen and Samuel Wojciechowski, along with many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Born July 19, 1958, Paul graduated from Manistee Catholic Central in 1976, and attended Michigan State University where he met his future wife in 1978. He later transferred to RETS/NITS in Grand Rapids, MI, from which he graduated June 21, 1982, marrying Mary Alice the next day. He joined Amada Engineering and Service that September and worked there for the rest of his life. His nickname there was "Yoda," reflecting his calm demeanor and encyclopedic knowledge of how the sheet-metal-working machines work. His job moved him first to Mt. Prospect, IL, then Buena Park and Rialto, CA, and finally Conyers, GA.. He worked on the road (US, Canada, Mexico, Japan, and Finland) much of his life, but eventually was able to work from home, using someone else's eyes and hands to repair machines under his tutelage.
A doting husband, Paul always looked for ways to make his wife's life easier. He helped with the Math and Science in his children's homeschooling, even when not physically available. When home, he was thoroughly engaged with his family. He was also a genial host, ready with a drink, a deck of cards and a good tale. His grilling skills were near legendary!
Paul enjoyed studying genealogy, collecting, repairing and listening to various pieces of stereo equipment, and collecting Legos, creating impressive castles, railroad layouts, and space pods. He spent many pleasant hours fishing with his brothers. He adored his grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews, spending hours entertaining them with games or Legos. One early goal was to marry and have children young, so he could enjoy his grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 27 from 2 to 5 p.m. in the home of his sister, Susan Stetler, and her partner Philip Siuda at 701 Harbor Dr., Manistee, MI 30094. Please bring your best Paul stories!
