Steven Kent Johnson, age 69 of Manistee died Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
He was born on September 23, 1952 in Frankfort, Michigan the son of the late Douglas G. & June C. (Lathwell) Johnson. He was a graduate of Bear Lake High School Class of 1970. On April 12, 1997 he married Theresa A. Berlin at the Epworth United Methodist Church.
Steve was a retired millwright having worked at Morton Salt Company in Manistee. He was an amazing woodworker, having his own custom furniture and woodworking business. He was also a sports fanatic, especially for the Detroit Tigers, Lions, & Red Wings, as well as the University of Michigan.
Survivors include his wife; Theresa Ann Johnson, two sons; Brett (Sarahi) Johnson and Ryan (Renee) Johnson, three grandchildren; Caden, Sarah, & Sydney, his bother; Randall (Katherine) Johnson, his sister; Vicki (Don) Johnson, as well as nieces, nephews, & cousins.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers; Duane Michael Johnson and Scott Johnson, and Scott's wife; Jamie.
Memorial Services for Steven K. Johnson well be held Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Oak Grove Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Manistee with Pastor Dinah Haag officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until time of service.

Steve was such a caring individual and so very talented. He understood my passion for my greenhouse and built shelves, screens for the windows, and most recently repaired the old door. No job he couldn´t do. My sincere condolences go out to the family. He will be missed by so many. May God be with you during this most difficult time.

So sorry for your loss. I enjoyed working with Steve he was a very smart and talented guy. We have 3 pieces of furniture he built for us and they are beautiful.
