Albert Teufen Obituary

Albert "Al" George Teufen, Jr.

WESTFIELD CENTER: Albert "Al" George Teufen, Jr. was a multi-talented photographer specializing in location photography. He was a graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology with a bachelor's degree in photography and a member of the American Society of Media Photographers. His business was located in the Cleveland-Akron area in Westfield Center where he worked with clients in both regional and national markets. As a proven photographer with over 25 years of experience he specialized in architectural photography and interiors, people and lifestyles, gardens, and stock photography. Some of his clients were Woman's World, Midwest Living, Landscape Architecture (Washington, D.C), Sherwin Williams, and the Smucker Company. In the last few years he expanded his expertise by becoming a wedding photographer.

He was an avid gardener whose green thumb produced beautiful gardens consistent with the 19th century style home that he and his deceased wife, Christine, lovingly restored together. His love of fly fishing led him to crystal clear streams in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Colorado; where he enjoyed the peace and tranquility of nature and the challenge of being a fly fisherman. Al was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Indians fan.

He was a very kind and giving man who made friends wherever he went who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his girlfriend Diana Burns; sisters Diane Csukas and JoAnn (Gary) Graham; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Christine (nee Calamuggio) to whom he was married 30 years; parents Albert and Helen (Havrilcsak) Teufen; and sister Kathryn Teufen.

Services will be held Friday, November 1, 10:00 A.M., at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina. Burial will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park in Toledo, Ohio. Family will receive friends Thursday, from 4-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Contributions may be made to the Teufen Family in care of Waite & Son Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at www.waitefuneralhome.com

I have so many wonderful memories to keep you close in my heart. Thank you for being the thoughtful, caring and loving man who kept our family close after mom died. I am sad that for now I won't hear your voice or listen to you laugh; enjoy your funny humor; or talk about aches and pains. When I see you again it will be with joy and thanksgiving for the happiness you brought to our lives. Love you forever.
