Diane Fulk Obituary

Diane Kay Fulk

LEXINGTON: Diane Kay Fulk passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2016 from Hospice House in Ashland surrounded by her family. She was 59.

She was born March 28, 1957 to parents Gene & Mary (Terman) Heidlebaugh in Mansfield. She graduated Northmor High School with the class of 1975 and was very involved in their 4-H program. Diane went on to earn her bachelor's degree from Ashland University.

Raised on a farm, Diane enjoyed being outdoors. A young man from a neighboring farm caught her eye, and the couple fell in love over many John Deere tractor rides. On September 8, 1979, she married Steven Ray Fulk and together they raised three children.

Diane was a teacher at her alma mater, Northmor Local Schools, where she taught home economics for 32 years. She loved helping her students learn new things and even taught sewing skills to her own family. She was a wonderful cook and combined that with her love of gardening to make the best homemade salsa.

In spare time, she took pleasure in riding horses, walking, and quilting. But above all, Diane cherished spending time with her family and friends.

Diane was a member of Steam Corners United Methodist in Lexington & she played piano for worship services in younger years.

She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Steve Fulk of Lexington; children Brian (Bethany) Fulk of Galion, Adam (Shelly) Fulk of Mt. Gilead, and Holly (Nick) Queen of Lexington; grandchildren Ethan, Hunter, Raelyn, Kendal and Paisley Fulk, and Case, Kenny and Mack Queen; parents Gene & Mary Heidlebaugh of Lexington; siblings Rick (Deb) Heidlebaugh of Columbia, TN, Donna (Franklyn) Lay of Lexington, and Cathy (Mike) Foust of Lexington; father-in-law Ray (Wilma) Fulk of Lexington, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Diane was preceded in death by her mother-in-law Vivian Fulk.

Although no public service will be held in Diane's memory, her family hopes you will hold her in your heart as you remember her in your own special way.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Hospice House (1050 Dauch Dr, Ashland, OH 44805) or to the Cleveland Clinic Cancer Center (10465 Carnegie Ave, Cleveland, OH 44106 or online at http://giving.clevelandclinic.org/).

Your family is in our thoughts and prayers, May God hold everyone close at this time of loss. I'll always remember and hold close in my heart all the good times, we had when we were young cousins. Love you all.
