Glenna Fay Hershberger
Mansfield - Glenna Fay Hershberger, 73, of Mansfield, passed away Monday evening, June 14, 2021, at her home. She was born February 18, 1948, in Jeffersonville, Kentucky, one of nine children of the late Victor and Glaydia M. (Woolard) Collins.
She graduated from Mansfield Senior High School and was an area homemaker her entire life, marrying David John Hershberger and sharing a wonderful life together for 43 years. Glenna's gift for changing people's lives for the better was a testament to her faith in and love for Jesus. Humble, thankful, respectful, generous, and friendly, Glenna never knew a stranger and welcomed anyone in need into her home. She was a wonderful servant of the Lord. Diamond Hill Cathedral and Journey Life Center were at the center of her beliefs and she volunteered at the Bible Walk Museum in her younger years. She was a reliable and consistent volunteer at area soup kitchens and food pantries. Glenna's philosophy was to enjoy life and keeping that in mind, she enjoyed her desserts and coffee. As a matter of fact, her last meal was ice cream! She was an excellent crafter and was a master with a crochet hook.
Left to cherish her memory are two sons, David (Deborah) Hershberger and Christopher (Nicole) Hershberger; two daughters, Kimberly Hess and Christina (Alfred) Chan; eight grandchildren, Brian (Chelsey) Kaylor, Brad Kaylor, Wesley Hershberger, Jordan Hershberger, Cameron Hershberger, Xayprincia Hershberger, Natalie Hershberger and Liam Hershberger; five great-grandchildren, Jayden Kaylor, Kami Kaylor, Kaiden Lambert, Audree Hershberger and Adalee Fay Hershberger; a sister, Lucy (Alan) Brinegar; two brothers, Gary (Anita) Collins and Larry (Vicki) Collins; and many nieces, nephews and other beloved relatives.
Glenna was preceded in death by her husband, David Hershberger, on May 5, 2013; parents, Victor and Glaydia Collins; son-in-law, Douglas Hess; three brothers, Bill, Bobby and Michael Collins; and two sisters, Ethel Morris and Eileen Head.
