James E. Wagoner

Lewisville, TX. - James E. Wagoner (Jim) passed away 6/22 at the age of 78 in Lewisville, TX. Jim was born 11/20/1942 to George and Lois Wagoner in Mansfield OH. He proudly served in the Army and was a police officer for the City of Columbus, where he served and protected for 32 years until his retirement in 1997. Upon retirement he and Patricia built a home in Bellville, OH where they lived happily for many years. Jim is survived by his wife, Patricia, son Tracy, and three daughters, Beth (Greg Underwood) McConahay, Carey (Mark) Rainey and Cathy Kistler, along with his six grandchildren Kyle, Conner, Nick, Sarah, Wyatt, Maddie. He is also survived by his brother Robert Wagoner, sister-in-law Elaine Wagoner, many beloved nieces and nephews along with dear friends. Jim will be greatly missed by his family and friends. There will be no service at this time.

Jim worked for me in the Ordnance Section of CPD as a Firearms Instructor. Great Instructor and great officer. May he R.I.P. and may God be with his family at this difficult time.

Prayers and Thoughts are with Jim´s family. We were in the same academy class(34th). Worked together on "D" platoon for several years. And were both brother officers and friends the rest of our time on the department. Jim was the One of the best Cops I ever worked with. Always there,always positive. Set the example for the rest us. Rest In Peace Brother....
