L. Varlene Parish

Johnsville - L. Varlene Parish, 79, of Johnsville passed away Thursday July 15, 2021 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.

The daughter of Dean and Twilla (Noel) Sollenberger, Varlene was born April 6, 1942, in Bedford County Pennsylvania. She graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in 1960.

Varlene worked for Essex Wire for 23 years, retiring in 1996.

She enjoyed cross stitch, solving puzzle books and watching television…especially game shows, Joel Osteen, and HG TV.

A loving mother and grandmother, each year she cherished spending time with her family in Houston, Texas, during Christmas and in the summer as well.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Laurie and Don Hefley of Porter, Texas; grandchildren Damon and Sherry Hefley also of Porter, Texas.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Douglas Wayne Sollenberger and sister Leah Sollenberger.

Varlene's family will receive friends Monday, July 19, 2021 from 4-7 pm in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 pm. Burial will follow in Shauck Cemetery.
