Marvin L. "Marv" Weidemeyer

Mansfield - Marvin L. "Marv" Weidemeyer, 80, of Mansfield passed away Tuesday afternoon, July 6, 2021 in Lexington Court Care Center following an extended illness.

The son of Harold and Ruth (Myers) Weidemeyer, Marvin was born November 18, 1940 in Mansfield and graduated from Mansfield Senior High School. He also earned an Associate's Degree from North Central Technical College.

For over 4 decades, Marv worked in the printing business.

Health conscious and active, Marv made it a point to exercise. Having a passion of athletics, he enjoyed swimming and earlier in life was a swim coach as well.

Pleasant and easy going, Marv never met a stranger and was relaxed and approachable.

He was a member of First Assemblies of God where he had help with the Blessing in a Backpack Ministry.

He is survived by his loving wife Anna (Lambert) Weidemeyer of Mansfield, whom he married in October of 1987; children Marty (Laura) Weidemeyer of Ft. Myers, Florida and Mindy (Ed) Garner of Greenwich; grandchildren Zachary, Marissa, and Andrea Weidemeyer and Eddy Garner; great granddaughter Lyla Grace Garner; step children Mark (Tammi) Spayde of Lewis Center, Suzanne (Robert) Sproule of Lewis Center, and John Spayde of Dublin; step grandchildren Steven and Alexandra Spayde and William, Caroline, and Gabriel Sproule; sister Joann Krauter.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Paul Krauter.

The Weidemeyer family will receive friends Monday, July 12, 2021 from 10am - 12pm in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home where funeral services will begin at 12 pm. Pastor TJ Waters will officiate and burial will follow in Eastview Cemetery in Centerburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Mansfield Friendly House, may be made through the funeral home. Online condolences to his family may be made by visiting: SnyderFuneralHomes.com
