Pat Ehrman

Galion - Patricia D. Ehrman, formerly of Galion, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, October 7th at 11:00 a.m. She was 85.

Born on September 19, 1933 in Galion, she was the daughter of the late Glenn and Stella (Stull) Ertley. She married Gordon Ehrman on June 29, 1957 and was married for 53 years before he passed away on March 10, 2011.

Surviving are her four children, Brad (Becky) Ehrman of Upper Sandusky, Rob (Jane) Ehrman of Baltimore, Kim Threatt of Kershaw, SC and Jody (Greg) Gillum of Pickerington. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren, Tyler Gillum, Tanner Gillum, Myriah, Gillum, Olivia Ehrman, Emily Ehrman, Alyssa (Jordan) Herrmann, Darby Threatt and Kellen Threatt.

Pat was a 1951 graduate of Galion High School and lived in rural Galion most of her life where she raised her family. She also spent 20 years as a cook for Colonel Crawford Schools.

She loved her family, children and grandchildren and enjoyed attending their athletic events. Pat attended the Galion Free Methodist Church most of her adult life where she was involved in many ministries and programs. Her church family was extremely important to her and she loved to serve others.

She spent her final five years living with her son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Becky Ehrman, in Upper Sandusky where she attended Trinity Evangelical Church and the Pairs and Spares Sunday School Class.

Pat was known for her warm smile, cheerful personality and love of people. Throughout her life, she encouraged countless others by sending them cards and letters in the mail. She was an outstanding cook who was well-known for her delicious homemade tea ring.

She also enjoyed relaxing in front of the TV watching the Cleveland Indians and OSU Buckeyes with her family.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Grace Point Church, 683 Portland Way North, Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 4:00 p.m. at Grace Point Church with Rev. Paul Walter officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Grace Point Church in care of the funeral home.
