Robert Clark Obituary
MANSFIELD: Robert Clark, Jr., 72, left this earth Thursday, March 17, 2016, at Riverside Methodist Hospital after an extended illness.
Robert was born June 11, 1943, in Columbus, MS, to the late Robert Clark Sr. and Annie Mae Bobo-Clark.
He graduated from Mansfield Senior High, DeVry College and Ashland College. Served in the Army and was a member of the Latter Rain COGIC; where he served faithfully on the Deacon Board.
He leaves celebrate his home going his wife, Esther R. Clark, of Mansfield; a daughter, Tamika Clark, of Mansfield; a son, Adrian Clark, of Michigan; stepson, Reginald Jones, of Mansfield; a brother, Bardias Clark, of Mansfield; stepbrother, Ricky Clark, Derrick Jones and Duane Boyd, all of Detroit, MI; stepmother, Louise Clark, of Detroit, MI; four aunts, Mary Forest, of West Point, MS, Virginia Jones, Starkville, MS, Georgia Duck, of Detroit, MI, and Bertha Everson, of Memphis, TN; a host nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Robert Clark III.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 25, 2016, at 11:00 am, at Latter Rain. Friends may call one hour prior to the services, Superintendent Louis Blevins, Jr. will be officiating and military honors will be conducted by the Richland County Veterans Burial Squad. The interment will follow at the Mansfield Memorial Park.
The family has entrusted Small's Funeral Services with the arrangements.

A gentle man who, as a young man, became a "buddy" to my uncle Curlie and connected to our family as a "son". All of my memories of Robert are with fondness of his gentle spirit, his understanding way and his "easy" demeanor. His kindness will be missed. To the family my sincerest condolences. Our times are in His hands so "teach us to number our days, that we may present to You a heart of wisdom" (Ps. 90:12).
