Robert Fliger Obituary
GREENWICH: Robert L."Bob" Fliger, Sr., 72, of Greenwich, died Monday, March 7, 2011, at his residence. Born April 29, 1938, in Perrysville, he was the son of George and Mildred (Ernst) Fliger.
Bob graduated from Loudonville High School and as a young man, he loved the outdoors, especially hunting. He worked for Rubbermaid in Wooster for 17 years and various other factories in the Mansfield area.
Surviving are his wife, Teresa (Herritt) Fliger; six sons, Robert L. "Bob" Fliger, Jr. of Perrysville, Rick Fliger, Tony Fliger, Steve Fliger all of Loudonville, Zackary Fliger of Mansfield and Ty Fliger of Greenwich; two daughters, Kim (Dwain) Burton of AK and Lori Fliger (Jeff Campbell) of Loudonville; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother, Jacob Fliger of Mansfield; and three sisters, Edith Henry and Lucile (Lavern) Norris all of Mansfield and Judy (Bill) Smith of Mansfield.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by two sisters, Patricia Waggaman and Betty Henry; and five brothers, George Jr., Richard, Jerry, Bill and Dave Fliger.
Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2011, at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2011, at the funeral home conducted by Tom McFadden. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
