Irma Centonze Obituary
Age 82, of San Rafael, passed away peacefully in her home on June 22nd, 2004, following a short illness with lung cancer.
Irma was born in Chicago, Illinois, on September 9th, 1921. Her parents, George and Belle Firestone, moved with Irma to Oakland, California, where Irma grew up and graduated from Oakland High School. She became Human Resources Manager in the entertainment industry in San Francisco.
Irma married Frank Centonze who preceded her in death in 1993 after his retirement from the U.S. Navy. Frank and Irma both loved life, people, travel, and good food in the company of their many friends and family members.
Irma and Frank moved to San Rafael in 1973, and she had resided in their home until her death. Her survivors include her cousins Ruth Lipman and Theodore Brenner of San Francisco, Richard Firestone of Whitefish, Montana, Frederick N. Firestone of Pasadena, California, good friends Barbara Bronson and Thomas Miller, and a host of other much cherished, wonderful friends.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society, and to Hospice of Marin.
