James Butcher Obituary

James Glenn Butcher James "Butch" Glenn Butcher Died unexpectedly Wednesday, March 16, 2022 after spending the day with friends and riding down the coast. Jim is a Terra Linda local, after living in the neighborhood for 50-plus years. He graduated from Terra Linda High School in 1975 and served in the Army for three years, including being stationed in Germany. He spent 25 years with Foss Maritime as a deckhand and engineer. He was proud that no one ever got hurt on his tug boat. Jim never met a stranger. He was constantly making friends and laughed everywhere he went. He was honest to the bone but was known to stretch the truth for a good story. He was the anchor to many family members and friends. He was consistently and unapologetically himself - always the life of the party. He was preceded in death by Monta Rae Butcher, Gerald Butcher and Vanessa Allen. He is survived by Ricky Spaelty, Jimmy Butcher, Taylor Butcher, Jahlise Allen, Angelique Allen, and his beloved partner of 10 years Laura Bingham.

I have always liked 'Jimmy". Played baseball with him and his son who I helped coach in baseball. Got into some trouble with Jimmy in the younger days. Now the true Lord and Savior, Jesus, the Son of God has been my help in my life. I hope to see Jimmy again and all who trust in Christ's forgiveness to change our lives with the hope of eternal life. So sad to see so many of my friends pass. God bless us all as we are right behind Jimmy.
