John Anthony Celani Oct. 5, 1951~Dec. 14, 2015 After battling recurrent lymphoma for almost a year, our beloved John, 64, succumbed to the cancer on Monday, December 14, way too soon. Son of Rudolph and Wanda Celani, John was born in the North End of Boston. He spent his youth growing up in Revere Beach and after graduating from Revere HS in 1969, attended Boston's New Prep for one year. He received his B.S. from Bridgewater State University in 1974. While skiing in Vermont in 1978, he met Beth and together they moved to California. They wed in 1983 and bought a home in San Anselmo, where their son, Brett, was born in 1989. John was a chemist who enjoyed working in the life science industry with local biotech companies for the past 30 years. He was an avid reader, loved history, was a great sports fan, loved to travel, was a fabulous athlete, especially loved to play tennis, and was an automobile enthusiast. Most of all, he loved being a dad. He is survived by Beth, son Brett, six brothers and sisters and four nephews and nieces. Services will be held on Sunday, December 20 from 4:00-8:00 PM at: Chapel of the Hills, 330 Red Hill Ave., San Anselmo 94960.
