Rest in peace Father Keane - I miss you and wish that I worked with you in my older years. Thank you for commissioning me as the youngest Extraordinary Minister of the Holy Eucharist at Saint Augustine, SSF. You have imprinted in my heart how to love the Eucharist and how to continue God's work!

Thank you, Father Michael J. Keane for the service you rendered to my ailing mother by allowing me to bring her Communion when I came from Washington State to visit my parents. Even though I was no longer a member of the parish, you trusted me with the precious body of Christ. It was a great comfort to my mother who went home to God in August 2005. I will be forever grateful for your generosity. May you receive the reward due to a good and faithful servant of God.

To all the priests, deacons, staff, and parishioners of St. Isabella (and to Father Keane's family), I send my thoughts and prayers at this time. Father Keane pastored his flock well. Many of his visits and pastoral care were directed to us at St. Anthony too. He came year after year to hear especially the First Confession of our children. May the Holy Spirit guide you in the discernment of his successor, never forgetting the truly faith-filled leadership and loving care of Father Keane. Father Keane now shares in the glory of the Lord he so faithfully served all his life.
God bless you,
Judy Ross

Ther are so many things I am going to miss now that Father Keane is gone. I will miss Father Keane giving out our report cards every year and him telling us what wonderful grades we had (even when we didnt). I will miss him coming down to the school yard during lunch and coming to our tables and saying hello to us. He was such a kind and happy person and he will deffinetly be missed at St. Isabella School.

My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Father Michael Keane. Almost 20 years ago, Fr. Keane offered counsel to me as I agonized over a divorce. I was a very young girl in a very bad marriage and Fr. Keane was there for me during the most trying time of my life. He never ever judged me and he offered nothing but support and encouragement. Those many years ago Father Keane promised me that someday I would be happily remarried and that I would have lots of children. I'm happy to say that in three weeks I'll be celebrating my 15th wedding anniversary and I'm the proud mom of three beautiful boys. I don't know what I would have done without the compassion and wisdom this wonderful man showed me so many years ago and I hope he knows what an incredible difference he made in my life. He will truly be missed.

Fr. Keane was a wonderful Pastor. He held us all together with strength, sense and stability. I loved working for him in the community of St. Isabella. There is no parish like it - I've worked in many - and that's because he was who he was. We were loved and cared for by this wonderful man who is now home.

At our wedding banquet in 1974, "Uncle Mike" toasted Mary Teresa and me with a paraphrase from the popular movie "Love Story".
Mike emphatically proclaimed, "Love means HAVING to say you're sorry...".
These wise words have brought "Uncle Mike" to my thoughts many times since then-and have proven to be so true!

I will always remember Father Keane as a wonderful human being. He was a special gift to our parish. Father Keane will be missed, by us, here on earth but welcomed home joyously by God.
Eternal rest grant upon him, oh Lord
And perpetual light shine upon him
May his soul and all the souls of the faithfully departed rest in peace. Amen.
