Peter Wilding

1949 - 2022

Peter Wilding took his last breath on October 29,2022. A native of the United Kingdom, he came to the U.S. after meeting and marrying his wife Kimberlee in the U.K.Peter happily taught science for twenty-eight years at Terra Linda and San Rafael High Schools, where he retired as Chairman of the Science Department. Peter loved teaching and especially loved working on curriculum as well as alternative strategies for engaging students. He initiated the Marin County Physics Olympics which ran for twenty three years.Peter had eleven years of blissful retirement where he traveled the world both abroad and in his motorhome with his wife and pets, Teddi and Saki.Having been a sailor for many years, Peter began sailing remote control yachts, which brought him great happiness. He was the Commodore of the St. James Model Yacht Club in Southport, North Carolina where he lived for six years.In 2019 Peter returned to the West Coast and built his dream home overlooking Discovery Bay and the Olympic Mountains. He was never happier than when sitting on his deck with a good book and his tea, or cycling around our beautiful area.Besides Kim and Teddi, Peter leaves behind his wonderful children, Alexandra, Cameron and Michaela and Michaela's fiancé Daniel.He will be greatly missed.Contributions in Peter's name may be made to the Prostate Cancer Foundation.
