Bill became a friend of mine when I bought the radio stations in Ukiah, California; Then through him I sold those stations and bought stations in Thief River Falls, Minnesota, and later the stations in Red Bluff, California. Bill was one of the most hones men I had met. Rest in Peace, Bill.

I got to know Bill when I decided to buy a radio station in Ukiah, California. He was also my broker when I sold that station, and bought stations in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. Great Friend.

Dear Exlines:

I did not have the opportunity to really get to know Bill (aka Papa Will). What I can say is, he will be missed. The stories about his life at the memorial service made me proud to carry the Exline name. He was clearly admired for his integrity, spirit and caring. Thanks for taking the time to tell the stories - we love the reminders of Bill. Most Sincerely,

We first met Bill in 1982 when he called to talk to us about joining the GMC 49ers. We talked to him for an hour, listening to him in his classic radio voice. We enjoyed traveling with Bill for many miles to many destinations. At the Sacramento Jazz festival, he always enjoyed the Barbershop groups. A very interesting man, we enjoyed his conversations on almost any subject. As a fellow Veteran, John especially appreciated his contributions during the War. Our thoughts and prayers are with Bill's family.

Bill and I shared a friendship founded on our mutual interest in our GMC motorhomes. He was always a cheerful, kind and considerate man. He will be missed by all.

Of all the GMC 49er members we met in the earlier years, Bill was the most sincere and friendly person. Bill fought many battles with cancer and kept wining them. We admired him and his strong faith. At the Palm Springs anniversary rally, dressed in his tux Bill was sitting by himself while the rest of us were dancing away. Grace finally urged him to join the group in the bunny hop dance and he finally enjoyed himself tremendously. We will miss Bill. We deeply regret not being able to attend Bill's memorial. Our deepest condolences to Bill's family.

Bill was a fellow GMC 49r. He always had a ready smile and great stories of his days in the radio business.

Although we only had the pleasure of meeting Bill once, at a GMC 49ers rally, we still knew that he was a valued member of the club. We wish we had had more time to get to know him. He was held in the highest regards by our club and he was sorely missed by all when he was no longer able to attend our functions. Bill, we hope that wherever you might be, that you are enjoying a GMC.

Bill was a good friend and a very talented radio manager. When we had Coastal Communications Corporation, he managed our properties KKIS in Pittsburg, Ca and KPTL in Carson, NV

What fun we had for many years of the Christmas luncheon of the San Francisco Milline Club. I have only the fondest memories of this wonderful person.

It was my privilege to have Bill as a friend from Peters Griffin Woodward days through Storer TV Sales and beyond. He was a kind, gentle yet strong man of great warmth and integrity.
