Services: Tuesday December 2, 2025 at 12 noon at the White Oaks Road Freewill Baptist Church

Betty A. Higgins, 73 of Marion, died late Wednesday evening November 26, 2025 at the Marion Nursing and Rehab.
She was born April 29, 1952 in Elizabeth, West Virginia to the late Robert and Madeline (Bock) Bunner, she was also preceded in death by a husband, Murray â\x80\x9cBudâ\x80\x9d Edward Verity and brothers, James and Donald Bunner.
Surviving is her husband, Curtis Higgins, sons, David (Jennifer) Jewell and John (Brittany) Jewell.
grandchildren, Dallas (Alexandra) Jewell, Destiny Jewell, Brittany Jewell, Alexis Jewell, Caroline (Felipe) Castro, Hunter Jewell, Tabitha, Levi, Sadie and Wesley.
great grandkids, Holland, River and Mariana
siblings, Dorothy Bunner, Roslea (Stephen) Weiford and David Bunner.
stepdaughters, Amy (Chris) Gittinger and Lily (Darrell) Clark and their families.
Betty was retired from the Pleasant Schools where she worked as a custodian and bus driver. She enjoyed fishing, gardening and loved going to church.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday December 2, 2025 at 12 noon at the White Oaks Road Freewill Baptist Church, Pastor Kevin McCoy will officiate. Burial will follow in the Prospect Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service beginning at 11am at the church.
The Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home is assisting the family.
